National Business Development Manager - Facilities Management

THE ROLE
Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Executive, Business Development Executive, Corporate Development Manager
£35,000-£40,000 OTE £55,000-£60,000 uncapped, company car, PMI, Pension, Flexible Benefits.
London, Luton, Chelmsford, Crawley, Reading, Bristol, Oxford, Birmingham, Northampton, Leicester, Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Slough
Given the freedom to enter any market sector, the business development manager will focus on developing new contract cleaning business across the whole of the UK.
With their foot through the door, the business development manager will network their client and provide bolt on soft services such pest control, washroom, courier and catering services.
Leads will be generated for the business development manager via a tele sales team of 12, through their internal relationships with the regional sales executives, and though their own self generation. It is also crucial that the business development manager builds strong relationships with some of the largest total FM providers and estate management companies.
Focusing on contract values in excess of £250k/year, the business development manager will forge quality relationships at Facilities Manager, Procurement and Financial Director level.
The consultative sales process will provide the business development manager with the opportunity to gain an in depth understanding of their potential clients, giving them the best possible opportunity to win tender business when it arrives.
Reporting to the National Account Sales Director, the business development manager will be in a visible position, be a senior member of the sales team, and be influential in ongoing strategy.
Following an award winning training scheme, the business development manager will be placed on a structured career builder scheme, enabling them to directly influence their progression route.
THE PERSON
Applicants currently working as business development managers, sales executives, account managers or in any professional sales role with a provable track record of success are invited to apply if they have -
Essential
- Minimum of 5 years in a structured sales environment
- Excellent business development skills
- Ability to develop relationships at all levels
- Excellent communication skills, especially with operational departments
- Ability to work in a consultative manner, asking good open questions and providing tailored solutions.
Ideally
- Good written English, ideally with experience of tenders responses
- Self motivated, confident and driven to succeed
- Any experience in the contract services market place would be greatly advantageous but is by no means a pre-requisite.
